JFFLA Festival Information

Title: Picture Battle @ Japan Film Festival

Place: New Beverly Cinema

Date: Saturday, April 10, 2010

Host: Japan America Media Association & United Television Broadcasting System

Programs:

  • Screening of the selected works
  • Open review session by the Picture Battle Judges

Judges: [TBD] Kazuyuki Izutsu (A Japanese director) & Other industry experts

Japan film festival committee, UTB employees, film directors and producers in both Japan and America will participate the screening and its selection process.

 

Submission Guideline

Submission requirements

  • Japanese directors or film creators who try to expand their network in the North America and expose their films to the Film and Media Industry to get involved in the business.
  • The director should be able to attend the screening (if selected) in Los Angeles.
    • JFF will not be able to provide the trip and accomodation to Los Angeles.

Film Eligibility

  • Short film (all genre) which is less than 15 minutes.
  • All copyrights are cleared for both festival screening and TV broadcasting in North America.
  • All dialogue and the story are suitable for TV Broadcasting. and public screening in North America.
  • English subtitle must be provided (if not English)

Submission Materials

  • One (1) copy of DVD for reviewing
  • One (1) copy of miniDV tape for screening and TV Broadcasting, when selected
  • One (1) filled copy of submission form (PDF 10KB)
  • One (1) set of Press Kit (if available)

Submission Fee

  • US$30　　   You can pay by credit card or send to check.                            
  • (payble to Japan America Media Association)

Film Nomination

If your film is selected to be in the final competition, we will notify you via e-mail or phone by the middle of Mar. 2010.
