At the last stage of World War II, the last young Kamikaze warriors departed to the battlefield for suicide attack.
The aircraft had no propeller, also any landing wheels. This was only to charge suicide attack toward the enemy ships. If ride once, no one return to alive. In other name, the aircraft was called “Human bomb.” Kaminoike base Ibaraki prefecture, nowadays there are the cities of Ka-misu and Kashima. The Japanese aircraft, nicknamed Betty in the U.S. and the Allies, mount Ohka has taken off from there toward the last grueling battlefield Okinawa. There are eight soldiers in Betty. Ozaki, a novice soldier, who is just as-signed to this unit, has been trembling in tension. After he joined, he was informed that there is only one person who is able to ride, and the pilot is still 17-year-old boy named Okita. Furthermore, the existence of strange captain Hozumi, who has the murky past related to the past operation, also increases Ozaki’s fear. Before arriving in Okinawa, they have been under devastating attack by Grumman fighters, which have exceptional speed and are dreaded as “hell of use.”
By raging attack of them, Betty has dyed in blood, and Ozaki has gone horri-fied to fear. Before long, one person also one person, the soldiers are dying in Betty. The soldiers are ordinary young men just like others. One is just married and has a happy family. One has great hope with future of dream. They have never been as fighting machine. There two and a half hours to Okinawa, a merciless battle that exceeds their imagination has come.
